Match: Serbia vs Chile
Competition: International Friendly
Time / Date: 21:00h / 4 June 2018
Venue: Merkur Arena
With Russia rushing around, Merkur-Arena in Austria (Graz) will welcome Serbia against Chile in a friendly game.
After Serbia managed to keep its place at the World Cup this summer, going through the easiest group where Wales and Austria presented themselves below their level. Now a group with teams such as Switzerland and Brazil is waiting for them and this game will be of use to the ‘Orlovi’.
After Chile failed to reach the finals this summer and considering how many tournaments they have recorded in recent years. Logically this vacation more of their stars get a break and even Alexis Sanchez is not with them, with most of the squad are young players without big experience.
Until now, these two teams have met once in 2012 where Chile lost to Serbia with a 3-1 in a sparring match.
Players like Nemanja Matic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Aleksandar Mitrovic face Chile’s rather unexperienced team who managed to win only one match from the previous summer where they participated in the Confederations Cup.
Anyway, Chile does not have a problem in getting goals with scored two against Romania in the last match and one to Sweden in March …so at least one can be expected here too.
